Heavy Equipment Operations (HEO)
The Heavy Equipment Operations (HEO) program is a three-year curriculum designed to cover the foundational skills required for operating various types of equipment in the construction industry. This NCCER-certified program includes training in safety practices, pre- and post-operation checks, site planning and layout, and the operation of a wide range of light-duty and heavy equipment.
The program supports multiple unique training pathways and credentials, including:
- Utility Tractors
- Forklift
- Loader
- Dozer
- Motor Graders
This curriculum complies with the U.S. Department of Labor's standards for apprenticeship programs, ensuring students receive industry-standard training and certification.
NCCER Certification
The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) is recognized by the construction industry as the standard for training, assessment, certification, and career development for construction and maintenance craft professionals. This program's NCCER curriculum ensures that students receive industry-standard education and credentials.
