The Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) program is a four-year curriculum designed to prepare learners for a career as skilled HVACR mechanics and installers. This NCCER-certified program covers the essential concepts and skills required to safely install, maintain, and troubleshoot heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.

The curriculum also includes fundamental knowledge of:

  • Sheet Metal
  • Welding
  • Pipefitting

The four-level HVACR curriculum meets HVAC Excellence accreditation standards, preparing trainees to sit for the HVAC Excellence certification tests. It also complies with the U.S. Department of Labor's standards for apprenticeship programs.

 

NCCER Certification

The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) is recognized by the construction industry as the standard for training, assessment, certification, and career development for construction and maintenance craft professionals. This program's NCCER curriculum ensures that students receive industry-standard education and credentials.

 

RTI Compliance
This program fulfills the Related Technical Instruction (RTI) requirements set by the Delaware Department of Labor (DOL) for apprenticeship. The RTI classes offer systematic instruction designed to provide apprentices with the theoretical and technical knowledge essential to their occupation.
